It’s not often a club reopens after more than a decade, but for one Sydney club unlocking the value of their land has paid dividends.


We bring you the amazing story of the little club which refused to die. After 12 years of no trade, the old Manly Civic Club (now The Manly Club) sprang back to life in June off the back of a commercial property deal.


For the majority of clubs, that would sadly be the end of the story – but not so on this occasion, thanks to a dedicated team of volunteers and a committed Chief Executive in Ron Malm who worked for more than a decade to get the Club back open.


Key to its success was a lucrative property deal which has seen the construction of 38 one, two and three-bedroom apartments built on top of a brand-new club…"
